Nearly 3,000 comic book geeks emerged from
their Mom's basements to see the US Premiere of
Spider-Man 3
in Downtown Astoria yesterday. My friend Mike Mazieka & I were fortunate enough to be among them. Tobey Maguire & Kirsten Dunst were led down the "black carpet" by a local marching band, and movie patrons were served free popcorn & soda.

Spider-Man Director - Sam Raimi

I don't want to ruin any of the surprises for you, so I'll just say that Spider-Man 3 was very good! You can probably guess that there were unbelievable special effects & Mary Jane fell off a building or two. But as always, Director Sam Raimi offers a unique take on the characters of the Spider-man universe while still remaining true to their essence. Unfortunately, even in a three hour movie, some aspects of the story are rushed & you don't get to know all of the characters as much as you'd like. But, I'm sure that's the challenge of a super hero movie with three villains.

To make an already amazing night even more memorable, we ran into a few celebrities. Sam Raimi, Rosemary Harris (Aunt May), Ang Lee & James Cromwell (Captain Stacy) were all in the Theatre & we spotted Bill Paxton outside the after-party (which, not surprisingly, we were not allowed inside). Also inside the theatre was Tom Franco (James' Brother) who was a very nice guy & a good sport about me mistaking him for his brother.

Jealous? You should be! I'd like to say a big Thank You to Mike & Erica for the tickets & an experience that I'll always look back on very fondly! Check out a few more pictures on my Myspace Page.

Spider-Man 3 Premiere

Needless to say, even before the movie started, it was a great time! As you may know, I'm a big comic book fan & I'm usually disappointed with the versions of some of my favorite characters that make it to the big screen. Hulk, Daredevil, Punisher, & even a couple of the X-Men films were junk in my opinion. Don't even get me started on Fantastic Four!

Welcome to yet another redesign of my Portfolio Website!

When I originally posted the last version of Billy the Spacekid back in April 2006, I remember being really proud of it. Now, it's embarrassing to look at & I wonder if I'll feel the same way about this version one day. Oh well, for now at least, I'm excited about it!

on a few freelance projects with various companies, including a few illustrations for my friend & former co-worker Austin Lawther.

After a four month internship in Australia, my sister Stephanie has moved to Vermont to look for a job that will utilize her recently acquired Bachelors Degree. My brothers Danny & Ricky are both attending High School & playing lots of sports. Good luck to Danny & the Wantagh-Seaford Baymen in the State Championships later this week!

Finally, as you may know, I'm very lucky to have a crew of fun & talented friends that I've known for many years. So, I'd like to update you on my good buddy Joey Mauro, who is currently playing the drums for two b&s - Red Ghost Revolt & Salute the Dawn! Definitely check them out!

I'm not sure how often I'm going to post any news, but when I do, I'll try not to bore you.

Currently, I'm busy with work, family & friends. I've been employed as a "Marketing Specialist" for a Mortgage company in Melville NY for nearly two years now. Recently, I've also begun working
