WHAT IF? DOCTOR DOOM
Many people may not know that Doctor Doom is not a Doctor at all… Although he is a brilliant man, he dropped out of school after a failed experiment left his face horribly disfigured.
Marvel used to publish a series of comics called What if, which asked and answered a new question about various characters each month. Just for fun, I created my own What if cover featuring Doom behind the "wheels of steel".
After the initial Illustration was complete, additional manipulation was applied to create the illusion of an aged comic book. |

A very rough preliminary sketch for this piece can be seen above. I tried to keep Doom looking as loose as possible while still making him intimidating. |
